UPDATE: OmniEye no longer available

Due to decreasing time availability on the part of both of the developers for OmniEye, we have sadly decided to discontinue the product. It’s been a great learning experience and we thank all of our loyal customers for their support.

A friend and I from USC have been working on a really sweet application for Android, and it’s available now in the Android Market. It’s called OmniEye.

Basically, what OmniEye does is take webcam streams from your USB-connected webcam and then sends them over the internet to an Android device. It’s a lot more complicated than that, but the result is a really handy application that has a lot of uses. You can use OmniEye to keep track of your pets, make sure your roommate isn’t the one who is making that sandwich disappear from the refrigerator, or whatever else you can think of.

If you’ve got an Android phone and a
webcam, check out Omnieye HERE!
